As I am helping SweetPea wipe after visiting the potty
SweetPea: Mom, do you like my poop? Luna: um.. SweetPea: Do you LIKE my poop? Luna (trying to be encouraging, without grossing myself out at the thought of likeing feces): yeah, sure. SweetPea: Don't eat it!
Bubba has learned how to tell a joke...kinda. To tell you the truth it is hard to understand just about everything he says. But since he got the tubes in his ears it seems to be improving. I guess there was a small binky set back, I think the surgery scared him pretty badly so he wouldn't let go of it for 2 weeks. Now his is afraid of it, I convinced him it is only for sleeping, so he runs in fear now when I offer it.
But he started to tell jokes. I am not sure he realizes it, but it made us laugh and we truly understood all he was saying.
Luna: Do you like being a big sister? SweetPea: yes Luna: How many kids do Mommy and Daddy have? SweetPea: 3, Me, Bubba, and Banana Luna: How many kids should Mommy and Daddy have? SweetPea: 15.....er...17!
Tonight we had tacos for dinner. As I was building my taco I was showing SweetPea all the different things I can put inside my taco. I also talked about how you can try new things this way.
Luna: Look at all the different foods Daddy and I like to eat. SweetPea: I don't like different food like you and daddy. I like REAL food. (on her plate was a tortilla which she didn't eat, some baby carrots, and sliced cheddar cheese)
Tonight we were moving a few things around in our bedroom and we found a piece of green sidewalk chalk in the shape of an egg. It was probably put there some time ago when it was taken away from a child and "hidden." It is funny enough that we found a chalk Easter egg in our bedroom right before Easter, but SweetPea made it even funnier.
SweetPea was playing with the egg and Bubba was starting to complain because he wanted one too. So Hubbs decided to take it away. When Hubbs took it away he saw there was a wet spot. Then he looked at SweetPea and saw a green chalky mark on her chin and lower lip.
Hubbs: Did you bite the chalk? SweetPea: No Luna: (chuckling) We don't believe you. SweetPea: It was just a lick!
The other day we were at the doctor's office, again! The doctor asked SweetPea to name an animal that starts with the letter "A." SweetPea thought about it for a few seconds and said "Alephant." The doctor laughed and said "I'll take it...this time." Later as we were leaving he told SweetPea that Elephant usually starts with the letter "E."
Today I was working on some alphabet worksheets with SweetPea. As we were practicing writing the letter "a" I was talking to SweetPea about what sound the letter "A" makes.
Luna: Ah-ah-apple SweetPea: Ah-ah-apple Luna: (pointing to an alligator) what is this? SweetPea: Ah-ah-crocodile

Luna is a SAHM while Hubbs is in school. It can be a crazy life living on "pretend" money, but we make it work. Being a Mom is hard. I have trouble liking my job everyday. I love my kids and husband, most of the time, but I need to talk to the boss about my job responsibilities. Sometimes I just want to hold up my hands, shake my head, and state "this is outside my scope of practice!" Unfortunately, as a mom, I have found there are no limitis to my underpaid job. It can be so overwhelming at times I find myself "underwhelmed."
This blog is a collection if snipets from my day to day life. projects I have done, funny things kids say, messes we make, and just plain ol' ramblings. Feel free to post, but please be respectful and polite.
