Elephants and Alligators

The other day we were at the doctor's office, again! The doctor asked SweetPea to name an animal that starts with the letter "A." SweetPea thought about it for a few seconds and said "Alephant." The doctor laughed and said "I'll take it...this time." Later as we were leaving he told SweetPea that Elephant usually starts with the letter "E."

Today I was working on some alphabet worksheets with SweetPea. As we were practicing writing the letter "a" I was talking to SweetPea about what sound the letter "A" makes.

Luna: Ah-ah-apple
SweetPea: Ah-ah-apple
Luna: (pointing to an alligator) what is this?
SweetPea: Ah-ah-crocodile

Valentine's Day

SweetPea woke-up on Valentine's day and came into our room and said "Happy Valentine's Day!" She then ran to the window and looked out and said "Where are the hearts on the houses?"

Leaky roof

My mom took SweetPea to the Balcony sliding door to see the rain.

SweetPea: (looking out door) what happened?
MeeMaw: It's raining
SweetPea: (looks outside, can't see rain falling, but sees water dripping off the roof) It's not raining, the roof is leaking!

Christmas Lights

As we were driving home one night and SweetPea noticed a few houses decorated for Christmas. As we pulled into our driveway SweetPea said "Excuse me Mom and Dad, I want lights on my house."

Dancing Partners

SweetPea: I don't have a boy.
Luna: What do you mean?
SweetPea: I don't have a boy. Banana has Bubba. They can dance.
Hubbs: Who do I dance with?
(SweetPea points to Luna)
SweetPea: There's a boy in your tummy. His name is (Luna can't remember the name right now. I will ask SweetPea and fill this in later)

So I asked SweetPea, and she doesn't remember.
Luna: What's the name of the little boy in Daddy's tummy?
SweetPea: I don't know. You tell me!

How do you get someone to smile for the camera?

SweetPea says "Dude, com'on, smile for the camera."

I guess she is a California girl. She says things like this all the time.

Beeper

SweetPea's booster seat for the dinner table made a noise like a bodily function. Of course Hubbs and I were teasing her to say excuse me. SweetPea said "I'm not the beeper!"
